Lakeridge Canine Camp Boarding Kennels is a group that have lent a helping paw to the Hi Speed Hounds group.

Grant and Kim Best own a kennel in Gimli called Lakeridge Canine Camp Boarding Kennels. They have been generous enough to open their hearts and homes to foster for us in the past, and even kept one of the female Greys from the last load in January, called Joy.

Here is what Kim has to say about the four Greys they are fostering at the moment. The photos show them interacting with their Kuvasz, that they also breed.

“The new greys will watch Joy disappear through a dog door in the kennel and they look so confused. Where did she go???? Pretty funny! I still find it amazing that Greys off the track don’t know how to interact with each other socially and play like normal dogs. They will run together, but as soon as there is any excitement they don’t know how to react and start goofing around with each other. Joy has come into herself so much that she is teaching the Kuvasz how to play – Greyhound style! It took the Kuvs a while to learn that her very vocal play is not aggressive. It still bugs them though, but is accepted because she is accepted as a pack member.”
